Tales of Athena

"We will never leave Athena", said emperor Synrath. He who had the braveness to stand against him was no other than the legendary knight Lothren's Amothius, the leader of the small rebels that were fighting from the border imperial province of Athena.

Once a prosperous democracy, Athena had been conquered by Synrath, emperor of the Northern Lands, who led ten years ago a crusade in order to gather all the Jakarta continent under his iron fist.

Synrath had not been always like that. Time ago, he had been just an orphan young man with a sister who had fell into prostitution. Alone, the only thing he could do was joining the army. What he did. That small kingdom of the North was being hardly attacked by neighbouring countries, and it was in the last defence when he, a sergeant, turned out to be the soldier with most grade.

Surprisingly , he succeed and won a battle that meant to be the beginning of the final victory. When that war was over, young Synrath was a general at the early age of 24 years old. His popularity and wits made him have an outstanding career, and soon he had more power than the king itself.

The rest is widely known. He conquered almost every single kingdom of the Jakarta contintent. The last one to be conquered, and the first one to be free, was Athena. Ten years after the war, the rebels, led by Lothren's and Teias(a young girl, son of a great Knight of Athena), worried so much Synrath that he himself went with his maester general and his maester inquisitor to personally guide his huge army.

But few could a huge army do against a guerrilla warfare, and the knowledge of the terrain made relatively easy to Lothren's to ambush the Emperor. Though, the final fight had just begun.

"My life belongs to Athena!", was the last words that Synrath heard, after his to loyal companions had been defeated, just few seconds before he died in the middle of the woods. The empire may last sometime in the Northern lands, where Synrath footprint was deep, but certainly that ambush was the beginning of the end. "Let's spread the news".
